Mr. Smith and his daughter, Ruby were killed in a crossing accident a few days ago, leaving Mrs. SMITH and three children in straitened circumstances. ABEL, cashier of the Malcom State Bank: State Journal: I was exceedingly glad to read about the Benefit Fund for the Rev. Mrs. S.P. SMITH of Roca, Nebr. I am herewith enclosing a check for that purpose. This certainly is a clear clean cut opportunity for Christian people and especially the Methodist church to act.
